It gives me great pleasure to announce the launch of CASP.eu, a dedicated and specialised platform which serves as an informational guide to the intricate sphere of crypto-assets and their related services. It is available via two other domains, www.crypto-assets.lu and www.cryptoassets.lu, underscoring our commitment to ensuring ease of accessibility.
CASP.eu stands at the forefront of crypto-asset information, offering valuable insights into MiCA (and related regulations) and the world of these digital assets, along with comprehensive knowledge on Crypto-Asset Service Providers (CASPs).
A crypto-asset is defined as a digital representation of a value or a right that can be transferred and stored electronically using distributed ledger technology or similar technology. On the other hand, a CASP is a legal entity or other enterprise whose profession or business is the provision of one of more crypto-asset services. There are three classes of CASPs, each with distinct services they are authorised to provide, ranging from transfer services for crypto-assets to operating a trading platform for crypto-assets.
The content of CASP.eu is meticulously curated by myself, Ruben Mendes. I am a practicing lawyer, admitted to the Luxembourg Bar in 2016, and have focused my professional pursuits on Intellectual Property, Technology Law, Data Protection, and Crypto-assets. I am specialised and certified in FinTech from Harvard University. In Mondaq, a globally recognised platform for expert analysis and commentary, I am one of the most-read authors in Luxembourg in the domain of IP and IT law.
